UPDATE: Police are investigating a stabbing in Glen Cairn on Sunday night. One media report says it took place near John Young Elementary School / Rickey Place Park, while the initial report from the Ottawa Paramedic Service placed the incident near Hazeldean and Castlefrank.

Paramedics responded to a call for a stabbing that occurred in area of Castlefrank and Hazeldean in Kanata South. The Ottawa Paramedic Service Communications Centre received the call at 20:18 hrs today 30th of October 2016.
Paramedics treated a 17-year-old male patient for multiple stab wounds to the back and lower extremities as a result of an assault.
Male was transported in stable condition to the pediatric trauma center.
Police are investigating.
