CIBC at 5527 Hazeldean Road is hosting a Run for the Cure fun day on Saturday, September 20.
“We are overwhelmed by the amount of community support we have received and cannot wait to raise some money for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation,” says Jennifer Holmes, who works at the bank.
The event runs from 11:00am-2:00pm and features Big D’s Poutine truck, princesses from Disney’s Frozen, Star Wars characters, fire trucks, music and more.
The event is run by volunteers, with help from local businesses. All of the funds raised will go to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
“We all know someone who has been affected by this disease whether it be directly or indirectly. As a woman, I feel it is important that we stand and fight for our future without breast cancer,” says Holmes.
