Crime Stoppers asks for tips in theft of excavator

The Ottawa Police Organized Auto Theft Unit and Crime Stoppers are seeking the public’s assistance with the identity of the persons responsible for the theft of an excavator.

Sometime overnight on Tuesday November 24th individual(s) broke into a lot in the 2000 block of Carp Rd (near Rothborne) and stole a John Deere model 270 CLS excavator. A company logo M.ROC Ltd is displayed on the sides of this construction machine.

Investigator believes the suspects would have transported excavator away on a large flatbed trailer.

If you have information on the whereabouts of the excavator or individuals responsible for the theft please contact Sgt. Brown from the Ottawa Police Auto Theft Unit at 613-236-1222 ext. 3766.
