The Goulbourn Museum launched a new exhibit this week commemorating the Richmond and Stittsville Lions’ 50th anniversary. Both clubs received their charters in 1964 beginning their years of service and involvement in the community.
The exhibit showcases memorabilia including charters from both the Richmond and Stittsville clubs, newspaper clippings, photographs, vests, and a collection of pins. It also gives a glimpse of the group’s lively contribution to local parades over the years. Visitors to the Goulbourn Museum will not only see photographs of the men in their infamous worm costume, but one of their original Lion parade costumes is also on display.
