FIELD TRIPS: Candlelit Labyrinth, Fibrefest, Discovery Tour

Three suggestions for interesting nearby events this weekend…

Light up the Labyrinth in Carleton Place, Friday, September 11:
From 6:30-9:30pm, the warm glow of more than 600 candlelit luminaries will flicker along the path of Carleton Place’s Community Labyrinth. To make this event more collaborative – organizers are asking participants to gather at 6:30pm at the labyrinth to prepare and place luminaries for a 7:30pm candlelit walk. FIELD TRIP: Carp Airport Family Day this Saturday

This Saturday, August 29 from 9:00am-2:00pm is Family Day at the Carp Airport, featuring bi-plane rides (for a fee), free food samples from Carp restaurants, warbird and vintage aircraft static displays as well as newer aircraft on display, a charity BBQ raising money for Roger’s House, and lots of other family activities.
