Stittsville’s Tysen Lefebvre won the CTV Ottawa’s Amazing Person of the Year Award at a gala ceremony on Saturday night.
The annual award is chosen by a panel of judges from people featured on CTV Ottawa’s weekly Amazing People segment.
“[It’s] such an honour for him to be picked among all the amazing people highlighted this year,” says Tysen’s mother Linda Lefebvre.
Tysen is a Stittsville teenager who was born with Type 2 Pfeiffer’s Syndrome, a very rare genetic condition. His “Mission to a Million” campaign has raised nearly $400,000 so far for the Make A Wish Foundation.
