A teenager learned the hard way that the Main Street Cafe does not have a drive-thru. He drove his car into the front of the restaurant, smashing the windows.
“Luckily it happened at 4, an hour after we closed,” says owner Marc Monette in an update on Facebook.
“The kid driving the car is ok along with his mother. A clean up crew came in and we’re here until after 10 picking up all the debris and cleaning the restaurant. Fortunately we will not have to close at all. We have plywood as temp windows for a couple of weeks, but be assured, we are in there pumping out all your favorites.”
It’s business as usual at the restaurant today.
Oddly enough, a car crashed through the Heads Up Barber Shop in the same plaza in June 2013. (And ironically, there is a driver’s license bureau at the same location!)

Holy smokes! As much as I like the window seats in restaurants, this possibility is always in the back of my mind. Glad no one was hurt.
