The City of Ottawa’s outdoor pools will be open for the season as of June 13. There are no public outdoor pool within Stittsville, but there are several nearby including:
- Beaverbrook Pool (2 Beaverbrook Lane)
- Glen Cairn Pool (50 Castlefrank Road)
- Katimavik Pool (64 Chimo Drive)
Splash pads are now open and will operate from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. through to September. Please contact 311 to report a splash pad that is not working.
Lifeguards will be on duty at Ottawa’s supervised beaches every day beginning June 20 until August 16, from noon to 7 p.m. Refer to ottawa.ca for beach locations, descriptions, amenities and recreational programs offered.
Ottawa Public Health monitors recreational water quality seven days a week at the City of Ottawa’s supervised beaches. Daily water quality results will be available at ottawa.ca, via Twitter at @ottawahealth or by calling 613-580-2424 ext. 13219. If high levels of bacteria are found, a no-swim advisory is issued and tweeted (@ottawahealth). Site signage and flags at each beach will also indicate whether a no-swim advisory is in effect.
