The Community Bible Church on Stittsville Main Street next to the post office was vandalized sometime overnight on Tuesday. It’s the latest in a string of property damage incidents this summer in the community.
Vandals spray painted an offensive message in large orange letters on one of the outside walls of the building. (We’ve decided not to share a photo of the offensive vandalism.)
As of early Wednesday evening, the vandalism hadn’t been reported to police, but office administrator Lory-Ann Thompson said they would most likely be asking police to look into it.
In the meantime, Thompson said they would like to hear from any neighbours in the community who might have seen or heard something in the area on Tuesday night. You can contact the church at 613-836-2606 or call police at 613-236-1222.
