Dementia Awareness Training at Goulbourn Museum – August 29

Earlier this year Goulbourn Museum staff underwent training with the Alzheimer’s Society to make the Museum more inclusive for visitors affected by Alzheimer’s and Dementia. Since then, they have been working hard to incorporate the strategies learned into their programs and exhibitions to make the Museum as accessible as possible for this audience.

Staff found the training so enlightening that they wanted to offer a free session to our community.  Whether you have a friend or a loved one living with Dementia, or whether you volunteer for an organization like the Museum, they want to arm you with the knowledge to support this growing demographic.

The session will be led by Dean Henderson, Director of Clinical/Client Services with the Dementia Society.
