DESCRIPTION:\nThe Mississippi Madawaska Land Trust invites you to join us f
 or a morning birding walk led by Ramsey Hart and Ken Allison. Open to all 
 experience levels\, this relaxed outing along the 3.7 km loop at Marble Wo
 odlands will explore the sights and sounds of fall forest birds.\n\n Satur
 day\, September 26\, 2026 Marble Woodlands\, Concession 4A\, Mississippi M
 ills\, ON K0A 1A0 8:00 am to 11:00 am FREE\n\nThis morning outing follows 
 the well-maintained loop at Marble Woodlands as we search for later-season
  migrants such as Yellow-rumped Warbler and White-throated and White-crown
 ed sparrows\, along with thrushes and year-round residents like nuthatches
 \, chickadees\, brown creepers and woodpeckers. Ramsey and Ken will offer 
 guidance to new birders on spotting and listening for birds.\n\nThis event
  is FREE\, but registration is limited to 30 participants to ensure everyo
 ne has a good view – secure your spot now at mmlt.ca/events. If you’ve

  recently joined MMLT as Executive Director but has been a nature enthusia
 st his whole life. He cut his birding teeth as a park naturalist at Rondea
 u Provincial Park and has worked with Birds Canada and volunteered with th
 e Ontario Breeding Bird Atlas.\n\nKen Allison has been birding for over si
 x decades and spent most of his career as a professional botanist. He chai
 rs the Mississippi Valley Field Naturalists’ Birding Committee and regul
 arly leads walks and presentations for local nature organizations.\n\n Wha
 t To Bring and Wear\nBinoculars\, sturdy walking shoes\, pants tucked into
  tall socks\, water\, and protection against mosquitos\, sun\, and rain. A
