The meeting will be at Hall A at Tony Graham R ecreation Complex (100 Charlie Rogers Place). Doors will open at 7:00 p.m . to allow time to review the displays before the presentation begins at  7:30 p.m.\n\nIn addition to the meeting\, residents can also participate through viewing and commenting on the online documents posted at ottawa. ca/CarpWidening after the event. You can copy Councillor Glen at glen.gower@ottawa.ca.\n\nPreliminary cons truction work is already underway\, with residents experiencing more inten sive work in 2026\, starting with an upgrade to the Carp-Hazeldean interse ction\, with safety and accessibility improvements for pedestrians\, cycli sts and drivers.\n\nThe full project includes new lanes from Hazeldean to the 417\, along with sidewalks\, pathways\, intersection upgrades\, plus t he installation of new sanitary and storm sewers plus watermain.\n\nIt’s a much-needed project and has been the top transportation-related priorit y in Stittsville for a few years now – but it will mean a lot of disrupt ion for residents who use Carp Road for travel\, as well as the residents and businesses along the route. Expectation is that the full project could take 4-5 years to complete – from start to finish.
