DESCRIPTION:Substance Abuse Information Session\nAre you or someone you lov
 e being affected by the misuse of substances? You are not alone\, addictio
 ns will affect one in 10 Canadians.\nWhen addictions affect us\, finding p
 rofessional support when we need it can be challenging. When faced with un
 familiar processes and terminology\, along with the maze of available opti
 ons it can become overwhelming.\nMembers of the public are invited to atte
 nd a free information session to be held from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. on Thursday
 \, October 26\, at the Stittsville Lions Hall\, 1339 Main Street Stittsvil
 le. Refreshments will be served.\nInternationally Certified Alcohol and Dr
 ug Counselor Dave Singleton will be hosting. Dave has worked and volunteer
 ed in the addictions field for 12 years in roles ranging from Advisory Cou
 nsel Member to Renfrew Victoria Hospital\, to front line work with complex
  addictions and mental health Clients. He currently works in Private Pract
 ice offering a full continuum of Addictions Services including Assessment 
 and Referral of Clients from Across the Upper Ottawa Valley.
