 year and its history over this period will be the topic of the Goulbourn T
 ownship Historical Society’s June 9th meeting.\n\nGuest speaker will be 
 John Curry of Stittsville\, author of the book “Richmond on the Jock” 
 which was published in 1993 on the occasion of Richmond’s 175th annivers
 ary.\n\nJohn promises that the afternoon will be filled with Richmond hist
 ory that you will both enjoy and find informative. You will just have to p
 lan to attend to discover.\n\nOur event on June 9 will be a great way to b
 rush up on your Richmond history knowledge or learn more about Richmond’
 s history\, all just before the big three-day weekend celebrations taking 
 place in Richmond the following weekend. What a way to prepare for that se
 nsational weekend and get thinking in a “Richmond history” mode.\n\nSo
 \, make a note to yourself and plan to attend this June 9th Historical Soc
 iety meeting. It will take place on Saturday\, June 9 at 1:30 p.m. at the 
 Richmond Legion Hall on Ottawa Street in Richmond. Everyone is welcome. It
 ’s free like all Historical Society monthly meetings and there will be r
 efreshments served.
