DESCRIPTION:&nbsp\;\n\nOur community family\, the Laidlaw’s\, have a son 
 Jack who was diagnosed with SPG4\, a disease that is slowly paralyzing him
 . Jack dreams of being an astronaut and the first person to walk on Mars. 
 The family will do anything to save their son so he can reach for the star
 s!\n\nWhat guests can expect from the Gala: Canada’s first astronaut\, M
 arc Garneau\, will be the special guest speaker\, and the Canadian Space S
 ociety's president\, Ryan Anderson\, will be bringing a Canadian Space exh
 ibit for guests to enjoy. A local Stittsville musician\, Tyler Kealey\, wi
 ll be the musical guest\, Stuntman Stu will be the live auctioneer\, and D
 erick Fage will be the Emcee. Brookstreet Hotel will be providing a delici
 ous 3-course dinner\, a large silent auction\, and a DJ and dancing for th
