  cheque to the Friends of Stittsville Wetlands (FoSW) on Saturday\, Octobe
 r 12\, 2024 – World Migratory Bird Day. This cheque presentation is bein
 g made to support the FoSW's work in protecting\, restoring\, regenerating
 \, and rewilding our wetlands.\n\nWorld Migratory Bird Day is officially c
 elebrated on the second Saturday in May as migratory birds journey to nest
 ing sites and on the second Saturday in October as they return to winterin
 g areas.\n\nParticipants will gather at the TransCanada Trailhead at the i
 ntersection of Westridge Drive and Abbott Street West on Saturday\, Octobe
 r 12\, 2024\, at 10:45 AM to walk together to the lookout over the Goulbou
 rn Wetland Complex\, at the headwaters of Poole Creek. The cheque presenta
 tion will be made upon our arrival at approximately 11AM.
