SUMMARY:Living with Permanent or Persistent Atrial Fibrillation?
DESCRIPTION:The Ottawa Heart Institute is currently recruiting patients at 
 least 40 years of age for a research study that seeks to compare two exerc
 ise training programs or standard of care on exercise capacity and quality
  of life in patients living with permanent or persistent atrial fibrillati
 on.\n\nParticipants will have health measures taken (such as height\, weig
 ht\, blood pressure\, and body composition)\, undergo exercise tests\, and
  complete questionnaires. They will then be randomly assigned to one of tw
 o 12-week exercise training programs (moderate-intensity continuous exerci
 se training group\, or high-intensity interval training group) or standard
  of care (control group). The exercise sessions will be free of charge and
  conducted at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute.\n\nWe hope this st
 udy will provide valuable information on the role of physical activity in 
 improving clinical\, exercise and mental health outcomes in patients with
