DESCRIPTION:&nbsp\;\n\nJoin the Mississippi Madawaska Land Trust (MMLT) for
  its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Thursday\, May 28\, 2026 at 6:00 PM a
 t the MMLT office in Carleton Place.\n\nThe evening will open with a virtu
 al presentation by Dr. Jennifer Grenz – an assistant professor and Indig
 enous Scholar (Nlaka’pamux\, member of the Lytton First Nation) at the U
 niversity of British Columbia. Drawing on her national bestselling book\, 
 Medicine Wheel for the Planet: A Journey Toward Personal and Ecological He
 aling\, and the principles of Indigenous ecology\, Dr. Grenz will explore 
 how land stewardship can move beyond preservation toward relational restor
 ation – where ecological health\, cultural continuity\, and governance a
 re understood as inseparable.\n\nThe meeting that follows will highlight M
 MLT’s work over the past year and look ahead to priorities for 2026\, in
 cluding continued efforts to protect ecologically significant lands and co
 nnect people with nature.\n\nMMLT’s AGM offers an opportunity not only t
 o stay informed\, but to be part of a community working to conserve the na
 tural spaces that define the region. Feel free to bring a friend\, neighbo
