DESCRIPTION:​\nJoin your local Land Trust for a creative Friday evening a
 t the Art Hub in downtown Carleton Place as you unwind and let your imagin
 ation flow in a painting class inspired by old-growth forests. In this ste
 p-by-step class\, you’ll create your own cedar tree painting under the g
 uidance of local artist Donna Naprstek. Enjoy a welcoming\, easygoing atm
 osphere designed for beginners and experienced painters alike. Canvases an
 d paint are provided\; brushes will be available to purchase.\n \n\nThe s
 ession will also feature guest speaker\, Eric Boysen! Eric is a local Lana
 rk County forester who works with his forester wife\, Barbara\, on a varie
 ty of natural environment projects. Together\, their focus is on maple syr
 up production\, conifer plantation management\, and generally helping wood
 lot owners restore their own. Eric will share how to recognize and restore
  old-growth features and functions to our local forests.\n \n\n\nParticip
 ants will:\n\n 	Learn about the importance of old-growth forests in the re
 gion\n 	Build creative confidence and take home a finished piece of art\n 
 	Explore painting techniques in a supportive\, relaxed setting\n\nRegistra
 tion: Pay what you can ($30–$50). Spaces are limited to 15 participants
