 e and beyond to make a difference in Stittsville? We want to hear about t
 hem!  The Stittsville Volunteer Awards are an opportunity to highlig
 ht and celebrate the dedication of volunteers in our community.\nThere are
  six categories of awards this year\, including:\nRoger Griffiths Mem
 orial Citizen of the Year\n\n 	Awarded to an individual who best exemplifi
 es leadership and long-standing commitment to volunteering and making 
 a difference in our community.\n\nJohn Curry Memorial Youth of the Year\n
 \n 	Awarded to a young person who exemplifies leadership\, inspires their
  peers and has made a significant contribution to the community through 
 volunteer service.   \n\nSenior of the Year\n\n 	Awarded in recogniti
 on of a senior citizen who has made a significant and long-standing contri
 bution to our community.\n\nTeacher of the Year\n\n 	Awarded in recognitio
 n of an outstanding teacher who goes above and beyond to support and 
 inspire students in our community.\n\nGroup of the Year\n\n 	Awarded to 
 a group of citizens who are working together to make a difference in the c
 ommunity.\n\nBusiness of the Year\n\n 	Awarded to a local business that go
 es above and beyond to support the community and make it a better place
  in which to live.\n\nNominations must be received by end of day on Fe
 bruary 27\, 2026. The awards celebration will take place April 23\, 2026.\
