 Labreche
DESCRIPTION:The next meeting of the Stittsville Goulbourn Horticultural Soc
 iety is on Tuesday\, September 20th and will take place on Zoom at 7:30 pm
 .\nThis month’s speaker is Master Gardener Julianne Labreche who will be
  presenting her talk\, “A Garden for the Birds.”\nWild birds are curre
 ntly facing a multitude of threats across North America\, leaving many bir
 d species in decline. Master Gardener Julianne Labreche will review the mo
 st common threats and provide gardeners with some practical\, positive way
 s to encourage birds to visit our gardens and make our gardens more bird f
 riendly year round.\nJulianne Labreche loves to garden “on the wild side
 ” with a focus on native plants\, pollinators and birds. She has been a 
 master gardener for over a decade. She is also certified as a master natur
 alist and as a pollinator steward. Julianne’s garden is certified with t
 he Canadian Wildlife Federation and with Monarch Watch. She is a recipient
  of two Ontario Service Medals for her volunteer work as a gardener. Her n
 ature and garden articles have been published regularly in Lee Valley Tool
 s. Currently\, Julianne is on the board of the Ottawa Horticultural Societ
 y. \nSociety members will be emailed the Zoom meeting invite. If you are n
