  Gardener Lee Ann Smith
DESCRIPTION:The next meeting of the Stittsville Goulbourn Horticultural Soc
 iety is on Tuesday\, June 21st and will be held in person at the Pretty St
 reet Community Centre (2 Pretty Street\, Stittsville K2S 1N4). The meeting
  will begin at 7:30 pm. \nOur guest speaker this month is Master Gardener 
 Lee Ann Smith\, who will give her presentation “High Performance\, Low M
 aintenance Plants.” She will discuss what makes a plant “high performa
 nce” and what “low maintenance” means\, plus what plants meet the de
 finition\, including both the “usual suspects” and lesser known plants
 . Lee Ann will also explain how to assess an existing garden when redesign
 ing for higher performance/lower maintenance. She will also share a “Top
  Tip” for getting the most performance in your garden for the least main
 tenance.\nLee Ann is a member of the Master Gardeners of Ottawa Carleton a
 nd has been an active gardener in Ottawa for over 40 years. The beauty fou
 nd in nature continues to inspire her\, as a gardener as well as a poet an
 d photographer. She studies Horticulture and Landscape Design at the Unive
 rsity of Guelph and contributes regularly to Master Gardener advice clinic
 s and newsletters.\nAlthough Covid-19 restrictions are no longer in place\
 , we would respectfully request that you wear a mask during the meeting. \
