DESCRIPTION:&nbsp\;\n\nThe Stittsville Village Association is holding their
  Annual General Meeting for residents of Stittsville.\nAt this meeting\, a
 ll board member positions will be nominated and voted on to become a membe
 r of the board. We’ll also hear from community members who would like to
  share comments with the board.\n\nCurrently\, the Vice-President and many
  member-at-large positions are vacant. We’re recruiting new board member
 s to coordinate social media advertising\, volunteer sign-ups\, fundraisin
 g\, and support for our annual events:\n● Parade of Lights in December\n
 ● Canada Day celebration\n● Art in the Park at Village Square\n● Mus
 ic and Movies at Village Square\n\nThe reality is this: existing board mem
 bers are stretched thin\, and these events are at risk without more people
  stepping up to help us coordinate. We’re looking for fresh ideas AND th
 e energy to make it happen.\n\nCommitment is flexible\, but involves one m
 onthly meeting\, in addition to support in lead-up and on event-days. We g
 et it – many people don’t have the time! Financial donations are also 
 critical to putting on our favourite community events.\n&nbsp\;
