DESCRIPTION:StoryArt Creative Centre &amp\; Boutique is pleased to announce
  it will be holding an open house on Saturday June 3rd and Sunday June 4th
 \, 2017. StoryArt is a newly-opened gift shop and art centre located on St
 ittsville Main St. that houses handmade artwork\, jewellery\, gifts and de
 cor. The boutique is now home to the works of over 30 local artists\, arti
 sans and makers. They also carry a small assortment of curated retro\, vin
 tage and antique pieces.\n“Our boutique features artwork from local arti
 sts working in various mediums and styles. From portraits\, abstracts\, to
  mixed-media\, we have delightful pieces to suit many tastes. We also carr
 y unique handmade jewellery and wire sculptures created locally\,” state
 d Mel Richer\, StoryArt Creative Director.\nA unique and eclectic shop in 
 an old stone house\, StoryArt also houses The Crystal Nook in a round turr
 et at the front of the building. The Crystal Nook features tumbled stones\
 , crystals\, incense\, pendulums and more and occasionally features sessio
 ns with local tarot card readers and angel messengers.\n“The home itself
  has a lot of history and absolutely adds to the charm of the space we’v
 e tried to create\,” continued Ms. Richer. “Visitors are invited to pe
 ruse our unique collection of art\, jewellery and gifts and see what creat
 ive workshops they may want to try. Some of our artists will also be on ha
 nd throughout the open house offering demos of their artistic practice as 
 well as talking about their craft\," concluded Ms. Richer.\nThe second sto
 ry is home to a studio featuring workshops and classes in the creative art
 s. The workshops\, classes and get-togethers offered in the second story s
 tudios span a broad range of creative activities including writing\, water
 colour\, collage\, mixed media\, abstract art\, sewing\, knitting\, wire s
 culpture and much more.\nStoryArt offers customized group packages for cre
 ative birthday parties\, corporate retreats or just a fun night out with f
 riends. If you have a creative youth in the family\, they will be opening 
 their studios for morning and afternoon creative workshops this summer.\nA
 bout StoryArt\nStoryArt Creative Centre &amp\; Boutique was established to
  provide a space for local artists\, artisans and makers to share their wo
 rk as well as to offer the community a space to try their hand at creative
  endeavours. Writer and abstract artist Mel Richer opened StoryArt in an o
 ld stone building on Stittsville Main St. and an online store is slowly bu
