DESCRIPTION:&nbsp\;\nThis year marks the 80th Anniversary of VE day\, the e
 nd of WWII in Europe. The Goulbourn Township Historical Society is  pleas
 ed to have Michael Ostafichuk presenting the events surrounding VE Day cel
 ebrations and the homecoming of Canadian soldiers.\n\nAlong with a long ca
 reer in the Federal Government Michael Ostafichuk joined the Canadian Arme
 d Forces Primary Reserves in 1985. He is an active member of the Stittsvil
 le Legion\, Branch 618\, as President\, along with serving on the Soldiers
 ’ Aid Commission of the Royal Canadian Legion as a commissioner.\n\nThis
  presentation is free and open to the general public. Parking is available
  and refreshments will be served. Bring a friend and tell a neighbour.\n\n
