Ottawa Fire Dispatch received multiple 911 calls reporting a house on fire at 1195 Upper Dwyer Hill. The calls came in at approximately 19:59 this evening. Upon arrival, the crews reported that the garage was fully involved and was spreading to the trees. A working fire was put in immediately at 20:03. It was confirmed that the garage was a detached garage about 12ft x 20ft. It was about 200ft from the house. It was reported that there was a truck in the garage that was also fully involved. The fire had spread to a wood pile and some trees nearby. There was no damage to the house. Approximate damages to the garage and truck are $60,000. No one was home at the time of the fire. An under control time was put in at 20:18 and a loss stopped at 20:37. The cause is still undetermined at this time.
