Police warn that Garth Brooks will cause a traffic jam on Sunday

The Ottawa Police Service is advising commuters to expect traffic delays in the afternoon and evening of Sunday April 3, 2016 in the area of Canadian Tire Centre (CTC) for two Garth Brooks concerts that day.

While there will also be concerts on April 1st and 2nd; it is on April 3rd that police expect high traffic volume on nearby roads and at area businesses especially at the end of the afternoon show at approx. 5:30pm – when show goers will depart and a new crowd of fans begins to arrive for the 7:30pm concert.

Area residents should expect higher traffic volume and delays that day, especially between 5:30pm and 7:30pm.

Police officers will be present to guide commuters and keep traffic moving as smoothly as possible.

Remember to plan ahead if you are travelling to Kanata. Please be patient and follow the rules of the road.
