For Canada Day 2021, the Goulbourn Museum is offering ‘True North’ activity kits for kids. All proceeds from the sale of the $5.00 kits will be donated to the Odawa Native Friendship Centre. Museum staff encourage you to make additional donations to this organization dedicated to positively affecting the quality of life for Aboriginal people in the Capital region.
The theme of this year’s Canada Day programming at the Goulbourn Museum is True North. The lands that make up Canada have the largest latitude range of anywhere else on the planet, and on any given day, there is an average daily temperature of -5.6 degrees Celsius!
This Canada Day, have fun with a take-home kit that features materials to make your own compass, instant snow, and glittery snow slime!
Only 30 True North Kits are available, so be sure to act fast!
Kits will be available for curbside pickup at Goulbourn Museum from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. and 3 – 6 p.m. on Wednesday, June 30. When you make a purchase, you will receive a confirmation email with a link to book your pickup time.
