There’s a grass fire burning near Terry Fox Drive and Cope Drive. It’s on the east side of the road – opposite side of Walmart and the Blackstone community, just north of Fernbank.
Police have closed part of Terry Fox Drive in the area. The fire is close to the road, says resident Diana Kok who is nearby.
These photos were taken before 5pm on Saturday afternoon.
Environment Canada is reporting wind gusts this afternoon of up to 50km/h.
There was another grass fire in this area earlier this week on Wednesday. Witnesses say part of a fence and deck caught fire.
