A big high five goes out to everyone who joined us at last night’s Friday Night Trivia fundraiser at Quitters in support of Chrysalis House.
Tickets for the event sold out in just five days and we packed 60 people into Quitters to raise a total of $1,361! All of the money will go towards walkers in the Coldest Night of the Year fundraiser tonight at the Kanata Rec Centre. The event raises funds for Chrysalis House, a 25-bed shelter in Kanata where a woman can go to protect herself and her dependents from violence and abuse.
As I write this at 8:30am on Saturday morning, organizers are at 93% of the $30,000 goal. You can still make a donation by clicking here.
