HolliBell Foundation is a local charitable organization that helps rescued animals. It was founded by Heidi Bell and Caroline Hollingworth. In 2014, Heidi, created her charitable organization ‘Cupcakes for a Cause‘ to raise well-needed funds for local animal rescues. In 2015, Caroline joined Cupcakes through volunteering to help bake for the cause. In that two-year time frame, they raised $24,000 in donations and were able to help numerous animals in need.
Joining forces, Heidi and Caroline founded HolliBell Foundation in 2018 — continuing to raise funds to assist animal rescue centres in our area. Animals have always held a place in each lady’s heart as both come from a background where animals have played a large part in their lives.
Caroline and Heidi are introducing an annual calendar for 2020 as another means to raise funds for the animals. The calendar will feature several of the animals and rescues supported over the past year. They are reaching out to the community and local businesses, organizations or individuals to obtain sponsors for the calendar.
- A $400 Premium sponsor gives you a full-page ad on the inside front cover;
- the $250 Gold sponsor has you placed on the back cover for a half page ad where two ad spots are available;
- $50 is the Silver sponsorship cost and will appear on an individual month with your business or family name; and,
- a Bronze sponsor would provide a coupon or offer from your business to be added to the ‘coupon’ page in the calendar.
If you are interested to have your business, organization or an individual supporting a good cause and this local charity, please contact Caroline and Heidi at HolliBellFoundation@gmail.com.
You may recall from our previous story on the Sultan donkeys, HolliBell donated the veterinarian funds for the donkeys to receive their much-needed hoof trims. Albeit, only Jenny let the farrier close enough to do so, but Gina will receive her hoof trim shortly.
HolliBell also held their ‘Doggie Walk-a-Thon‘ earlier this year at Sunset Farms on Hazeldean Road. The inaugural event was a huge success, with Willie the feral farm cat at Sunset Farms bringing in the highest amount of donations. Grits Anglin owns Sunset Farms and knows the benefits of HolliBell’s generosity so always offers up her property for their events.
They are currently organizing another ‘Doggie Walk-a-Thon’ at Sunset Farms. This one will have a theme – Halloween – and will take place on Saturday, October 19th. It is also a day of celebration for HolliBell’s first year as a Foundation!
