Hummingbird Chocolate Maker, the Almonte-based chocolatier, received three highly-coveted awards last week. Here’s a note from Hummingbird’s Facebook page:
“Very happy to share that three of our bars won awards at the Canadian round of the International Chocolate Awards! Fleur de Sel (silver), PB & Joy (bronze) and Honey Lavender (bronze) will join America’s winners Hispaniola and Zorzal at the World Finals in London this month. Thanks for supporting craft chocolate!”
Hummingbird is owned by Erica and Drew Gilmour, who live in Stittsville.
The judging panel was made up of pastry chefs, journalists, restaurant reviewers, bloggers, culinary educators and chefs.
Congratulations. Nice to see local companies do well anywhere.
