The Knights of Columbus of Stittsville held their successful FUNdraiser outdoor markets in the Village Square Park throughout the summer and fall. They raised over $3,000.00 for community charities in Stittsville thanks to everyone who supported the vendors. The charities that will benefit from the money raised are: Stittsville Foodbank, Chrysalis House, Sacred Heart High School, Holy Spirit Parish and the Holy Spirit Parish Youth Group.
Joseph Carbonetto who organized the fundraisers on behalf of the Knights of Columbus told Stittsville Central, “Quality, not quantity was our goal – with all of our vendors successfully emerging from their isolation to enjoy the community appreciating their creations once again”.
Joseph continued, “we are not done. On November 20th, Stittsville residents will be able to visit the first-ever Knights of Columbus Indoor Christmas Market, another FUNdraiser, with over 20 local vendors presenting their holiday gift suggestions”.
Just some of the items you will find at this first-time indoor market: honey, maple syrup, baking, homemade jams, jellies, preserves and salsa, holiday ornaments, hand-knit items, homemade soaps, clothing, art, candles, glass art, cosmetics and beauty supplies, Tupperware, PPE supplies, beverage gifts and T-shirts. Gift baskets will be available for purchase, on-site gift wrapping and delivery service is being offered for those special gifts up to December 24th.
This is a perfect opportunity to start, or finish, your holiday shopping while supporting our local artisans and the community youth group at Holy Spirit Parish!
The market will take place in the Grand Hall at the Holy Spirit Parish located at 1489 Shea Road (at Abbot Street) from 9:00am until 3:00pm. A Thai lunch and other seasonal treats will be available. There is ample parking for 200 cars. Access will be limited to 75 people at a time and masks are required to ensure that public health guidelines are followed.
