Info meeting August 6th – Restoring the Wyldewood Sign

The Wyldewood entrance sign has been looking most dilapidated for the past several years. Pleased to say that Councillor Glen Gower, working with local residents, has arranged and worked out a plan with the Nautical Lands Group to have the entrance sign restored to its former self.

An information meeting for Wyldewood residents is being held at the CardelRec-Goulbourn Complex (Hall A) on Shea Road at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, August 6th. If you are interested in lending a hand to the restoration endeavour, attend the meeting to find out more.

Councillor Gower is planning a community day in late summer/early fall to complete the restoration work under the guidance of masons from Nautical Lands. He is currently looking for people from the community who want to get involved to help out with the restoration, including clean-up and landscaping of the site. No experience or expertise is required – just a desire to help restore the sign to something that we can all be proud of again. Come on out and learn what we have planned, and how you can help.

If you want to join in on this project, please email ward6@ottawa.ca to RSVP.
