Caroline Sewards has been drawing and painting her whole life and has found a meaningful way to sell her art. She is organizing the ‘It Takes a Village’ fundraiser to support Jack Brown. All proceeds from the sale of her artworks are going to support ‘Rock Out For Jack’ – the fundraiser for the young Stittsville boy who was born with CHARGE Syndrome and has various costly life-sustaining needs.
Caroline told us, “I haven’t really sold stuff, but haven’t tried very hard either. I wanted to have a studio sale and this seemed a good cause”.
Over 100 small drawings and paintings have been generously donated by Caroline and will be sold by donation. “No donation is too large or small,” added Caroline.
Being held in Caroline’s garage, rain or shine the sale will go on. Greg Brown, Jack’s Dad, will be on hand selling tickets for his Guitar Raffle and will have on display some of the other neat items available to bid on in his Silent Auction all in support of his son.
Caroline asks that our community come together to purchase art pieces to brighten your home or to gift – all while brightening the life of a Stittsville child.
It Takes a Village is happening on Saturday, August 22 from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm at 507 Cherokee Way, Stittsville. Health protocols will be in place, and it is requested that you wear a mask.
