Novatech submitted a proposed development application in 2016 on behalf of Kizell Management for 5618 Hazeldean Road. Having been on hold since 2016, the application was updated in December 2019 and reactivated. The land is located in the Fernbank area, between Richcraft’s Bradley Commons Subdivision and Iber Road.
Kizell intends to develop the property as a combination of residential, mixed-use (commercial/retail), ‘Park-and-Ride’, institutional, a school site, parkland and open space uses. It is anticipated that the community will accommodate approximately 2,755 dwelling units and will surround the next phase of Robert Grant Avenue between Abbott Street and Hazeldean Road.
A public meeting via Zoom will take place with City staff on January 20 at 6:00 p.m. to discuss the subdivision application for 5618 Hazeldean Road. For more information on the proposed development, visit this link on the City’s Development Applications site.
