I live in Stittsville and am currently a dental hygiene student at Algonquin College, graduating in June. I recently helped organized a campaign called Heart of the Matter provided a day of free dental hygiene care for 23 members of the community that cannot afford preventative oral health care. This campaign was an amazing and rewarding experience that shaped the type of dental hygienist I want to be in the future.
I submitted a video describing this event in hope to win an award aimed at other dental hygienists in North America and need votes in order to win. You can watch the video here…
Please watch, vote and share this video. It is to win an award called Heart to Hands.
The winner of this contest will be win an award that will be presented in June 2017 in Jacksonville Florida during a dental hygiene convention, as well as entry to another convention in Chicago in August.
Winning this award and attending these dental hygiene conventions will provide me with the further education needed in order to help continue break down the barriers to oral health care. I now need the support of my community to obtain enough votes in order to win
Thank you,
Amanda Madronic
