Committed to her community, Grace was a local historian, author, philanthropist, and an impassioned individual who embraced the beauty of both history and the written word. She was a significantly involved resident in the Stittsville community. She was the first secretary-treasurer of the Stittsville Goulbourn Horticultural Society, founding member of the Stittsville Women’s Institute, Goulbourn Jubilee Singers, and member of the original steering committee for the formation of the Goulbourn Township Historical Society.
