A few updates from the Stittsville Lions Club…

40 YEARS OF SERVICE

District Governor Shelley presents Lion Don Carson with a 40 years of service pin.  (See photo above.)

CATCH THE ACE

  • March 15: The weekly winner won $148. The winner chose #14 which contained a 3!
  • March 22: The weekly prize draw was for $221. The winner chose #7 which contained the 10 of clubs. So we are still looking for the Ace of Spades. Progressive jackpot starting at $1705.50 And growing! Get your tickets for next week! Draw takes place on March 29.

Tickets can be purchased at  Stittsville Automotive, Stittsville Trailers, Stittsville Pub, Stittsville Legion, Kodiak Snowblowing and at the Stittsville Lions hall 6 pm – 6:45 pm. Proceeds for Kanata Ruddy Shenkman Hospice.

 

ST. PATRICK’S DAY CARD PARTY

There were 15 tables for our card party celebrating St. Paddy’s Day.  It was a sea of green and
great fun was had by all. Thank you to everyone who brought a pot luck dish.

Lion Beth presents District Governor Shelley with a $300 cheque for her project “Lions Quest”. Lions Quest Canada is a registered charitable organization dedicated to fostering positive youth development by producing and disseminating effective tools to empower and unite caring adults in all aspects of young people’s lives. These tools include innovative and well-researched programs, products, training and services for youth, parents, educators, and community leaders.  Lions Quest focuses on the developmental contexts, nature of the child, the child’s developmental strengths, and the reduction of high risk behaviours and promotion of healthy wellbeing.  Dealing with drugs and working together to stop bullying.
