Preparing, Pouring and Storing from the days of yore is being virtually presented by Lynne Blenk, a historical re-enactor and former President of the Goulbourn Township Historical Society (GTHS). Lynne has been a devoted participant for many years along with her family, in a group that portrays the 84th Regiment of Foot. The ‘Foot’ is a Highland Regiment created to defend Canada during the American Revolutionary War that took place between 1775-1783 and the Regiment also had an influence on the War of 1812.
In her presentation, Lynne will enlighten the audience with the history of the arrival of the Loyalists to the American Revolutionary War effort. She will talk about the challenge during these pioneer times of handling of food rations that were provided to the Loyalists in military units, the spouses and children.
This presentation will allow you to step back to the past to hear Lynne explain life during these times. She is an experienced presenter on pioneer and military history, having given numerous presentations to the community over the years as a member of the former Historic Re-enactment Committee of the GTHS.
The virtual presentation is taking place on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at 7:00pm. Pre-registration is required for the online event being presented via Zoom. Use this link to register before October 26th to receive your invitation.
