Need a staycation? The Stittsville Rotary Ride is just the answer!

Ready for a break, but not ready to travel far yet? How about a cycling staycation in Stittsville? The Rotary Club of Ottawa Stittsville are hosting a family cycling event around Stittsville from June 26 to July 4 – Stittsville Staycation Rotary Ride. The perfect staycation – getting exercise while discovering your own community with a chance to win prizes and support the Stittsville Food Bank. A great package deal!

Participants will cycle around Stittsville to discover our unique restaurants, craft breweries, coffee and ice cream shops that make Stittsville special! Support small local businesses by sending a selfie from one of your favourite ride checkpoints, send it to info@stittsvillerotary.com for a chance to win a $100 gift certificate to the checkpoint location of your choice. Bushtukah have also generously donated additional prizes.

What does the Rotary Staycation involve? Pick a day between June 26 and July 4 and bicycle a 14 km route around Stittsville. Follow a virtual map/route with checkpoints that are logged via GPS using MapRun6 (the free app must be downloaded either through the App store or Google Play).  

Participants will be able to sign up beginning Saturday June 19 on EventBrite. The event begins and ends at the Labyrinth in the W.J. Bell Rotary Peace Park. Registration is $10/individual; $20/family. All proceeds go to the Stittsville Rotary Club who have chosen to support the Stittsville Food Bank.
