Nominations now open to recognize community volunteers – Update: deadline extended

Volunteers and community-minded businesses are the moral fiber of any community and without whose involvement and contributions many organizations would not be able to fulfill the activities they wish to accomplish.

Volunteer Ottawa has for over 60 years played an important role in leading and helping people in our community and, to honour the many volunteers and organizations, are holding the 9th Annual VOscars at Ottawa City Hall on April 17th, 2019.

The various categories under which nominations can be made are:

  • Mayor’s Award for Volunteer Spirit
  • Outstanding Youth Volunteer Award
  • Outstanding Senior Volunteer Award
  • Leadership in Corporate Volunteerism
  • Outstanding Volunteer Program Award
  • Leadership in Volunteer Diversity

If you know anyone who stands out as a exemplary volunteer or a not-for-profit business in Stittsville, Volunteer Ottawa wants to give distinctive acknowledgement to those individuals, organizations and businesses that have made a significant change to someone’s life.
