October is appreciation month at Goulbourn Museum

Every year, the Goulbourn Museum staff host an Evening of Appreciation to thank all their contributors for all they do. The past year-and-a-half has posed many obstacles for the museum and the staff haven’t been able to gather and show the appreciation deserved in-person.

This year, the museum is saying thank you remotely throughout the month of October. The museum staff will introduce you to some of their contributors through video during October. All of the museum’s members, those who have volunteered their time, made donations or partnered with the museum will be receiving a special gift by mail.

“I want to thank all of our contributors for all the work you do in making our Museum a success. You are the lifeblood of this Museum,” said Tracey Donaldson, Manager and Exhibition Curator.

Many area residents have contributed their time, donated funds and artefacts to the Goulbourn Museum. Museum staff share that since 2019, volunteer hours donated have accumulated to 1,455 hours; the museum has received $2,606 in financial donations; and, 61 artefact donations. This is an incredible amount of support for our local museum.

The museum staff appreciate all this support and share, “Everything Goulbourn Museum does is in support of you – our contributors. In thanks, the museum is dedicating this month to you.”
