The annual recruitment for the Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) has been launched by Ottawa Police Service. Applications are now being accepted until September 15th.
Any young person between the ages of 13-24 can apply online at ottawapolice.ca/yac.
YAC brings a youth voice to policing and gives youth the opportunity to share ideas and work with police on initiatives and projects that matter to the youth of Ottawa. YAC members build relationships with police and other youth, gain skills and training, and are provided with food, bus tickets and other perks.
