PHOTOS: Parade of Lights electrifies Stittsville Main

Thousands flocked to Stittsville Main Street on Saturday night for the annual Parade of Lights, presented by the Stittsville Village Association. This year’s parade featured over 60 entries.  The weather was perfect, with snow on the ground but not too cold.

After the parade, Santa stuck around to help with the official tree lighting ceremony at Village Square Park, organized by the Stittsville Lions Club.  The Lions also walked the parade route collecting donations for the Stittsville Food Bank. There was even a marriage proposal by a firefighter during the parade!

  1. How did I not see the flamethrower this year??
    My favourite moments were
“Merry Christmas to the Liberals” (lol),
    receiving flashlights and toothbrushes,
    seeing familiar faces
and the really sweet family that made room for us!
    Great coverage Barry.
