PHOTOS: Stittsville’s Front Porch Concerts deliver donation to Crossroads

This week, the Crossroads Children’s Mental Health Centre were the proud recipients of a $5,983.90 donation from the residents of Stittsville who provided donations at the various performance sites for the Front Porch Concert Series. The concert series was organized by Sarah Blakely and was a huge success. Stittsville looks forward to the next one!

Crossroads provides a variety of free individualized mental health services solely for children under the age of 12 and their families. The services will be greatly needed over the next few months and this donation will certainly go a long way in providing the help that children will require.

Sarah was pleased to have the following local businesses come forward to sponsor the event and thanks each for their valued support:

  • Warmstone Family Dentistry
  • Mjolner Construction
  • Hometown Team – Royal Lepage Team Realty
  • Kiwanis Kanata/Stittsville
  • U-Rock Music School
  • Brew Revolution
  • The Jack Ketch
  • Crave Taco
  • Friends of Amberwood

Sarah exclaimed, “We collectively as a group raised $5,983.90!!! Can you believe it?!?! You have all blown me away. I’d like to also give special acknowledgement to Morris Sutherland and his wife Barb for hosting Morris’ band High Maintenance who raised a whopping $881.”

Here are some photo memories from the evening.

“Thank you again for jumping in so enthusiastically to this whim of mine and for putting your trust in me. Stittsville rocks!” says an overly happy Sarah.
