It’s cake walk season! Several schools in our area have been holding their annual cakewalk fundraisers, where parents and students exercise their artistic cake-making skills.
And the icing on the cake? The creations get auctioned or raffled off to raise money for the schools.
At Westwind Public School, there were 399 cakes donated and $2,700 raised. Stittsville Public School had 448 cakes, raising $2,500. A. Lorne Cassidy families helped raise around $3,000 with 327 cakes.
