Public invited to Stittsville Lions Club cheque presentation to Tammy

Over the past six weeks the Stittsville Lions Club has devoted time and effort fundraising on behalf of a Stittsville resident named Tammy who is suffering from serious health issues. Tammy is a young single mother of two teenaged daughters who has been struck with cancer and has very few resources to help her with this battle.

The Stittsville Lions have been successful in collecting over $14,000 to aid her in this fight. This money has been raised largely from the Stittsville business community along with a smaller number of individual donors.

On December 11 at 7:30 pm at the Stittsville Lions Hall, 1339 Main Street, Stittsville, we will present a bank draft to Tammy for the amount that we have raised to this date.

The Annual Fundraiser Chairman, Lion Gordon MacIssac, is inviting all those who helped with the cause to be part of the presentation.

“We sincerely hope that you can attend and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your help in this project”, acknowledged Gordon.
