Public meeting on Carp Road Landfill site plan on June 15

The City of Ottawa has received a Site Plan Control application from the West Carleton Environmental Centre (WCEC) to permit an expansion to the existing waste disposal facility at 2301 to 2437 Carp Road and 512 William Mooney Road. The application includes constructing a new landfill footprint and relocation of the primary site entrance with an associated widening of Carp Road. The plans also include a minor expansion to the existing waste processing and transfer facility, as well as a minor reconfiguration of existing buildings and infrastructure. A public information meeting has been scheduled for:
Monday, June 15, 2015 6:30-8:30pm
Carp Agricultural Hall, 3790 Carp Rd.

Councillor El-Chantiry will be in attendance, along with city staff, Waste Management representatives and personnel from the FoTenn Consulting team.

The public comment period is ongoing until June 25. Residents can also provide comments directly to sean.moore@ottawa.ca.
