Record number of teams participate in 3 on 3 ball hockey tournie

October 6th was the perfect day for the Stittsville 3 on 3 Ball Hockey Tournament – the rain held off and there was a record turnout. The all-around success of the 2019 tournament will not be forgotten anytime soon!

The 2018 tournie had 22 teams participating – this year a record 49 teams with a total of 245 players. There were 15 Atom, 20 Peewee and 14 Bantam teams in total. That is a lot of money raised to support the Stittsville RAMS hockey organization!

The overall divisional winners of the tournament were —

  • In the Atom Division – The Ice Dogs

  • In the Peewee Division – Moves Like Jagr

  • In the Bantam Division – Gucci Gang

The teams were asked to dress up their team uniforms and the team with the most creative get-up would win 5 Fun Cards from Funhaven. The winning team for the category, and the Fun Cards, was The Stittsvegas Knights (shown below).

Jo-Jo’s Pizza made sure that each team member was fed with slices of pizza and Hot 89.9 just kept the tunes pumping to keep everyone’s momentum on a high.

There were raffle tickets being sold to increase the monies being raised to support the Stittsville RAMS organization. One item in particular was a hot item – 250 mini bottles with a mix of Rye, Rum, Vodka, Gin, Scotch to name a few. Who wouldn’t want this prize to display in their bar!

Here are some additional photos from the day:
